One of my bosses, a team leader actually, was waxing enthusiastically about "Gas Buddy", exclaiming about the points earned toward free fuel by posting local prices. He showed me the home page and it did look interesting. Later, on my own, I spent a good 30 minutes or so browsing the site. The incentive of free gasoline is certainly a draw, but the idea of regularly checking on prices and contributing to a nationwide, near-real-time database of prices appeals to me. I look forward to establishing a route of stations at which to check in during my drive to and from work daily. I agree with the concept of keeping stations accountable by buying from the least expensive supplier, as long as the service is reasonable and not inconvenient or offensive.
