The man has already generated some publicity, you just never know what might come of his effort.

Sounds like that pastor is following the Master's example.....
Matt 9:9-13 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him.
10 Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." NKJV
Luke 15:1-7
Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, "This Man receives sinners and eats with them." 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:
4 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them,'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. NKJV

Before I was saved ten years ago, I spent a great deal of my time in taverns. Sunday mornings included. If a preacher had come in I would have found a new place to drink. I've been in the bar mentioned, and it's big enough to accommodate the preacher and those interested at one end of the room without bothering those who don't want to hear it. Having said that, I don't approve.

The link is what Cloversville posted. This way it is easier to just click on it instead of having to copy and paste.
Praise the Lord and pass the Beer Nuts
No pun intended, but next to preaching in a prison, I do believe this will be a captive audience. Either that or the bar will be rather empty during the game. People will just stay home and watch it and still have their beer. I have not been to a bar to drink in over 19 yrs, but I bet that beer is more expensive in a bar than it used to be.
The part in the article that surely does not happen in my church on any given Sunday is:
{ "Should an overzealous fan get a little rowdy and spew profanity at a play gone bad, Unverzagt said he won't be offended.
"Hey, I get upset at officials that make bad calls as well," he said. "I just have built-in filters that won't allow me to say those things." }
