With hotel and motel bills over $100 per night, how can a family afford to go across the street, much less the country?

Article next to this mentioned that gas prices are down do to a lousy job market report. This article indicates that poor job market leads to more travel for others

If we see $2.50 gas this summer it probably will increase travel. However travelers need to be aware other prices may not follow gas. Such as $100 hotel/motels, $50 and up per day to get into theme parks and $5.00 soft drinks and hot dogs. If a family of 5 saves $100 in gas that will be just a small part of the overall vacation budget. Just sayin.

It is still pretty dim because of all of the billions previously stolen from the consumers by banks and big oil.
