The price will keep going up/down depends on how greedy the OPEC are. Venezuela is no angel either, and the US is dependent on her heavily.

The price will keep going up or down depends on OPEC production and then there is Venezuela, which is no angel or friend of the US either, and we are heavily dependent on her oil.

We need to start increasing nuclear power plant construction until we can be independent of foreign energy.

Let's see . . . American consumption is down 1.7 mega barrels per day and OPEC cut production 1.5 mega barrels. So I guess prices should continue to fall.

Answers are irrelevant as price for a bbl of crude is already $135/bbl..

Ummm.... y'all..., the question was --
"What do you think a barrel of Crude Oil will be priced at by 12-31-2006?"
Did anyone notice that you can look it up now and you don't have to guess????
[hint: try pulling the chart on this site, they've got it there... LOL]

I think it was around $60 per barrel and gasoline prices were around $2.00 per gallon or lower. Crude has only gone up $5.00 per barrel or 8.3%, but gasoline has gone up $.90-$1.00 per gallon or 45-50%. What is wrong with this picture? It's the refineries getting rich and the consumer is getting shafted.
