It's just that some costs less at some stations than others. I remember 25 cent a gallon gas prices and never thought, "gee, this is really cheap gas". It would be today. However, in 1965 that was the going price. I remember places that sold it for a lot more. But I never thought of 25 cent a gallon gas as cheap. It's all a matter of perspective.

"Real Buddies, Low Prices" ^ Buddies are the people listing the prices and buddies usually let you know what's best for you. :) I have to admit the " Save Cash On Gas " has a nice ring to it as well though.

I, on the other hand, understand you are looking for a catchy slogan and not a name change. A slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used in a political, commercial, religious, and other context as a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose. Correct me if I’m wrong.

You need to reward people for their efforts. It's what everyone needs to motivate them. Let them use the now worthless points to make purchases from a catalog/website to get things people want/need. Deduct points or days they can post from people who enter incorrect information. Incorrect information can be reported by other GasBuddy users if you provide such a button for users to click on. I could go on, but I won't.

Cheap gas has a negative connotation in that cheap can be lesser quality. Also, I refuse to call a commodity item that sells for such a high price, cheap, unless it goes under $2.00 per gallon. "Help fight high gas prices" is really not realistic. gasbuddy.com does not, in my opinion influence gas prices, it simply directs others to what station is selling gas at what prices. When gas prices in a given area are all relatively the same, I don't think that is being influenced by gasbuddy. "Save $$$ on your gas" and "Save on gas" both are in line with what I perceive is the purpose of gasbuddy.com; informing those who wish to know to what a given station is charging for gas at a given time.

If it is going to change, I think you'd get more response and involvement from Save $$$ on your gas. If you use Help fight high gas prices, it puts everything into a situation where some people might think that WE have the ability to fight high gas prices when what we are doing is reporting prices for consumers to check on the lower prices in whatever area that they are. I also think that it would have a political undertone where some would think that Gas Buddy has connections with lobbyists or political affiliations to promise to make changes on high gas prices.
